Pingaring
Brief
Create a two entry signs for the town of Pingaring to mark its centennial celebrations. Take into consideration the short time frame for design, production and installation. Create a sign that is able to be produced in one piece and installed on uneven ground with minimal earthworks and consider what elements, style and material are able to best represent the town and location.
Outcome
Drawing inspiration from the natural surrounding environment and ‘The Tree’ gathering spot, the sign incorporates both the wood texture and symbolism of a leaf icon in creating a welcoming and modern sign.
